The highest form of living in life is to be true to your heart

In the history of world literature, there is a classic image of Cinderella. She looks ordinary, stubborn, will not deliberately like people; but she does not compromise on the status quo, will bravely pursue their own ideals, and ultimately harvested a profound knowledge, independent self-confidence and true happiness. This Cinderella, who did not wait for the rescue of the prince and completed the coronation by herself, is Jane Eyre. For more than a hundred years, this is known as the pearl in the history of British literature, classic heirloom ‘Jane Eyre’, inspired countless people, until today still gives people enlightenment. When I read Jane Eyre again in my middle age, I know more and more: every stage of life will have new identities superimposed on it, but I can't forget myself because of this. On the contrary, we should be more pleasing to ourselves and faithful to our hearts, which is the most correct thing we can do for ourselves.
01Rise up and fight back, better than to be caught in a trap
Jane Eyre since her parents died when she was a child, was fostered in her uncle's home, uncle treated her as if she were his own, but her aunt has always regarded her as a thorn in her side. So once her uncle died, Jane Eyre's life became difficult. Cousins took pleasure in bullying her, and once, when Jane Eyre was hiding in a corner reading a book, her cousin John took her out and hurt her with the book. Jane Eyre could not stand it any longer and fought with her cousin. As a result, she was locked up by her aunt and uncle in the cold little red house. She cried for help and begged for mercy until she fainted, but no one paid any attention to her. This imprisonment did not make Jane Eyre become cowardly, and she fought for herself more than ever before. Since then for the cousin's bullying, she is no longer coy, as long as the threat, immediately turn the other cheek; and even dared to question aunt, repeatedly abused her, to stand up to the uncle's spirit in heaven? Auntie did not dare to underestimate Jane Eyre anymore, and did not want to keep this ‘trouble’ around, so she sent her to Lowood Boarding School. It was not a good place to go, but it was a better choice for Jane Eyre. Not only did it give her a break from her stifling situation, but it also gave her a chance to study. Sometimes, fighting back doesn't lead to a perfect ending, but it is the best way out of a difficult situation. There's a topic on Knowing: How did you get through the darkest moments of your life? A highly praised answer is: "You must have a sense of self-help.
Because being in the darkness, often the last thing that consumes you is not the darkness but the sinking." When you feel lost or overwhelmed by difficulties, you can fill your time by doing things. Never mind whether the outcome is good or bad, the most important thing is to take action and make a difference. You can also look for help from friends or escape from your current situation for a while to get organised in a different place and start afresh. In short, don't sit back and wait for death, but as Mr Luo Xiang said, ‘Once and again, again and again, three times, a thousand times, without hesitation, save yourself from fire and water.’ Otherwise, giving up the struggle and sticking to the status quo is likely to get you deeper and deeper into the hole. If you are firm in your beliefs and rise to the occasion, every step from here on out will be an uphill climb. Please believe that time will reward those who actively look for a way out, those who don't believe in fate and don't swing for the fences.
02 Live in your heart and not in other people's mouths
Jane Eyre, who came to Lowood boarding school, tried hard to adapt to the environment, learnt knowledge, and everything was going in a positive form. Until the hypocritical Mr Brockhart accuses her in public of being ungrateful and sorry for her aunt and uncle's upbringing and teaching, and tells the whole school to stay away from her as a liar. These words cause the ever-strong Jane Eyre to break down completely, and she is afraid of being despised and dying in solitude. Fortunately, her tutor, Miss Tamborough, patiently enlightened her: a person's words and deeds on weekdays have already established her image status in other people's hearts, so continue to be a good girl, don't care about one or two people's bad comments. Encouraged Jane Eyre finally removed the burden from her heart, she no longer bothered to think about other people's comments, but put all her energy into her studies: painting, piano, French, all proficiency, even the ‘poisonous’ Pessie could not help but praise: "You are simply a lady of a great family. You are like a lady of a great family." After acquiring a wealth of knowledge, Jane Eyre became more confident, all the questions, ridicule can not hurt her a little: you say I am small and lowly?
But I am neatly dressed, rich in heart. You say I am boring and tricky? But I am very knowledgeable, and I can talk to your soul on an equal footing.
In short, all I see is me, I do not need others to applaud me. On the contrary, in real life, like Jane Eyre, dare to affirm their own uniqueness, not by the outside world evaluation of the influence of very few people.
